About

This website is intended as a comprehensive worldwide cross-linguistic bibliography of the linguistic phenomenon of pseudocoordination (for example, English go and get or try and do). In this function, it is the online companion to the bibliographic coverage of Chapter 2 of my dissertation:

Ross, Daniel. 2021. Pseudocoordination, Serial Verb Constructions and Multi-Verb Predicates: The relationship between form and structure. University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign Ph.D. dissertation. https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.5546425

This website is an ongoing project, which will be updated as more references are available and identified. Please contact me if you have any suggestions for additional references for any of the languages or any languages to add to the list. The scope of this bibliography should be comprehensive, covering all languages with pseudocoordination worldwide (ranging from those where the phenomenon is already well documented in many references to those where it is only minimally documented), and including references written in any language. Note that this website will be updated as the information is ready and may change often, while I intend to make more permanent updates to my dissertation. The DOI link above is always directed to the most recent version of that document. Minor updates may therefore be posted here first, while that document should be cited for more general discussion with background and context.
